This is not an unusual occurrence. We've had accidents in that area before. It does happen.

There's an intrinsic value. We don't want this particular species to become extinct. This is one more species unique to Florida that would be gone.

We were moving toward making it more of a recreational opportunity than a commercial one. Now there really aren't any shortages of alligators -- we're well past the endangered species time, so we're ready to expand.
