We thought it would be a very nice tribute to her to offer an award to a female student who was trying to make it in this area of study.

She really has had a large impact on the way that I think and the way that I go about my daily business here at the college and in that sense, thinking and talking about her always is a happy experience for me. She was a really wonderful person.
