If we didn't have that stable of running backs last season, Allen probably would have started. (Knowlton) will be the halfback on either side. ... He looked good in our scrimmage and in practice. He's a very good athlete and knows our system well. I think he's ready.

All the momentum was our way and the wind was knocked out of us after the game.

That's our biggest question mark at this point. We lost eight starters at some key positions. We have a lot of inexperienced guys and we're waiting until the last minute to see who comes along the most for us. The defense has been the hardest to reconstruct.

He had a couple of long carries where he broke loose. He's beginning to come into his own. He runs hard and he'll run around guys or into guys or whatever he has to do. He's getting tougher every game.

I think this is going to be another shootout into Week 7 or 8. I think everyone will be good. Sidney is the talk of the town. Delhi will be better, Greene should be improved and Seton beat us last year. You never know. I expect us to be in the middle of the mix along with everyone else.

For the most part we're OK. We have some new guys and some days we look very good and some days it's challenging.

The running game was working very well. We made a few adjustments this week and focused on our offensive line skills, and we've made some improvement there.
