He's really been running with aggression in practice. He's looking really good.

Our selling point is if young people come to Stevens Point they will still be playing football in the fall. They're just not coming here for a tryout. And we're just not filling roster spots.

Basically, this group has been in our program and practicing for three years. They have been together, so it has not been a difficult transition. We think we can do some things with this line and the running backs we have.

We have inexperienced players, but players who have been waiting in the wings. Alex is an outstanding blocker and is a big target who runs the field. He fits what we want to do at that position.

We like our guy. We think he is one of the best quarterbacks in our league. When you have a veteran quarterback you're confident you can go into every football game with someone who is going to give you a high performance level at that position.

This is the most talented group of running backs I've had during my career here. You always want a 1-2 punch at the tailback position, and we feel like we have that.

Our goal is to have a better offense this season. We leaned more on the passing game last season and I think we'll have a better mix that we want to achieve.

I am confident we can be as good as we were last year at the wide receiver position with these guys. We have more size and the same amount of speed.

Division II schools will give four kids who play the same position $1,500. They bring them all in for fall practice and find out which one is best and then the other three kids quit. Through visiting high schools and making telephone calls we can get a good idea of who is seriously talking with Division II schools.
