"Jim Guest" is a former aerospace engineer, and current farmer, small business owner, and former Republican Party/Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives from Missouri's 5th congressional district/District 5. Founder of L.A.R.I. (Legislators Against Real ID) and The Committee for America's Freedom, to pass legislation in every state to repeal the Real ID.

He was born in King City, and graduated from King City R-I High School in 1958. He then received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology/University of Missouri–Rolla, in 1962, and a master's degree in engineering management in 1970 from the same school. From 1962 through 1974, he worked as an aerospace engineer in California and St. Louis, Missouri.

He is a member of the Star Chapel United Methodist Church, the King City and Albany Chambers of Commerce, the Missouri Cattleman's Association, the Missouri Farm Bureau and Missouri Park Association. He has also served as a representative for Missouri on the National Pork Producers Council

He was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2002, winning reelection in 2004, 2006, and 2008. By Missouri term limit law Guest was ineligible to run again in 2010.

He supported the Ron Paul presidential campaign, 2008.
