We're really lucky we have John Wright playing the father, and he's wonderful.
He's the most successful American comedy playwright ever. And this is such a damned good funny play - and this time of year you need as many laughs as you can get.
The Odd Couple did very well for us and people really liked it, so we brought back another Neil Simon. Although this is his first play, it foreshadows The Odd Couple. You can see similarities in relationship conflicts at moments, and it also takes place in the same building.
The reaction in previews from the audience has been fantastic.
