In the past I thought I could do a lot with my fastball and changeup, ... From last year on I've been a little more open. I realize to be a very successful pitcher in the league I should develop a few more pitches.

I feel great, ... I'm a father and I have a family to take care of. My thinking has changed. I really realized I have to go out and bring home the bacon and do the best I can.

It was a splitter I was trying to get down, but it was too high, ... I knew it was a bad pitch, but I was hoping Victor [Diaz] would catch it.

I know I got myself into some difficult situations at times, ... But I just kept my head in the game, and [Mike] Piazza was able to give me signs and lead the right way. I felt in the end everything worked out OK.

My disappointment, I left behind. I'm a very optimistic person. When you're optimistic, the good opportunities, good fortune, good everything will come with it.

It was too high, ... I knew it was a bad pitch.

I was definitely not satisfied with my performance. I think the jet lag from the World Baseball Classic is still affecting me.

Korea and Japan are known to be the top two teams in Asia, and that's why we have a very strong rivalry for a long time, and it also goes back to our history and tradition. It stems from our parents' generation and us, and also I'm sure that our next generation probably will feel the same.

Whenever we have a game against Japan, we have the strong will to beat Team Japan.
