We always drilled twice a month even back when I joined. It was at least a two-hour drill. We've got a well-trained bunch of boys. I am real proud of them.
"Michael William "Jack" Hough" was an Australian politician. He was a Liberal Party of Australia/Liberal member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing Electoral district of Wollongong-Kembla/Wollongong-Kembla from 1965 to 1968 and Electoral district of Wollongong/Wollongong from 1968 to 1971.
Hough was born in Auburn, New South Wales/Auburn to Edward John Hough, an official of the Milk and Ice Carters' Union, and Edith Thomas. He was educated at Chatswood, New South Wales/Chatswood, Berala, New South Wales/Berala and Parramatta, New South Wales/Parramatta before becoming a milk carter. He moved to Wollongong, New South Wales/Wollongong in 1936, and became a timekeeper with Australian Iron and Steel Pty Ltd, moving to Bluescope Lysaght/John Lysaghts Ltd in 1939. He studied accountancy part-time, and was also a Methodist lay preacher. He married Betty Tonge on 30 January 1943, with whom he had two children.{{cite web
