Martha in jail would be fairly disastrous for the company. She cannot remain on the board of directors as a convicted felon.

For someone who is used to the public eye, used to the pressure of speaking in public, who comes across well, who is able to look at the jury in the eye and tell them what she actually did, I think giving her an opportunity to take the witness stand could be very helpful.

We will resolve it. Whatever time it takes.

The prosecutors will want to make sure that the prospective jurors won't be intimidated or influenced by her celebrity status.

Whenever you appeal, it's a little bit of an uphill battle. But it's a real issue an appellate court will take some time to decide and an issue the district attorney would rather not have.
