She got 24 against Lee. I talked to the Lee coach (Bill Boyd), and he said they just couldn't handle her. I thought we did a good job with her.

We have somehow found a way to win most close games. I think that's what we've got to continue to do — play smart basketball, play fundamental basketball, don't foul needlessly and make open shots.

I think primarily the reason we did better was we concentrated on teaching fewer players what to do. It kind of gets you every now and then, but I thought Sammie (Salazar) came in and did a really good job. That gave us a sixth man that we needed.

We're playing pretty good right now. We just got careless and threw the ball away (in the fourth quarter). We handled their press the whole game and just got careless and threw the ball right to them.

They play with each other pretty well. The press has bothered us all year, and we were able to capitalize on their press. The two big girls (Williams and Hurt) had them two-on-one and were able to convert. That was very pleasing to see.

Neither team played well last time we played. I'm just hoping we can play better and see what happens.
