Cliff was great, and really our whole starting staff has been great. They've done a great job of carrying us all year. It seems like they keep us in every game.

I figured with two strikes that I didn't have a lot to lose, ... With (Travis) Hafner up there I had a lot of room to move, so I took off.

We don't do that. We know what we've got to do to get the job done.

Throughout the at-bat I just kept going farther and farther. I wanted to see how much they would let me have before they stopped me. They never did, and I told Skins, 'I can take this.

I don't consider myself a home-run hitter. I don't try to hit home runs. But the more I play, the better I feel. Who knows what might happen? Like I say, I'm not trying to hit home runs - but I like it when I do.

Every game is big, ... Especially here in the last month and against the Twins. It's a team that we battle with all year and it's a big game for both teams.

I'm sure Hafner was ragging on me after I stole his RBI.

That's what you play for. You play all year in a lot of games. This is the spot you play for.
