"Gary Shaw" is a former English association football/football striker who played for Aston Villa in the early 1980s. His goals helped Aston Villa win the English The Football League#1958–1992/First Division championship in 1980–81 and the UEFA Champions League/European Cup the following year - the only Birmingham-born player in the team. In 1981 he was voted PFA Young Player of the Year. He was also included in the 40-strong preliminary England World Cup squad for the 1982 finals; however, he was not picked in the final 22.

Today, I have signed a 'platinum chip' world-class champion whose persona transcends sports and approaches folklore in the Philippines. I feel privileged that Manny has chosen me as his promoter.

Jeff is not looking past Robin Reid. Reid is the stiffest test Jeff Lacy will have faced in his 19-0 career.

Manny has a superb management team in Shelly Finkel, Nick Khan and Keith Davidson, as well as a Hall-of-Fame caliber trainer in Freddie Roach.

We try to give them a little leeway. They're not always staring at their watches.

I haven't had an afternoon off since 1966.

I look forward to working together with them and I am truly honored that the team has placed its confidence in me.

I have absolutely no interest in wasting my time with Joe Calzaghe anymore.

Manny has fought Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales in his last (four) fights. He's been in tough fight after tough fight, he's been taking on the best fighters of the era and I don't believe that a fighter needs to be a life-and-death fight every time. In this case Manny's coming off a real war with Morales and this is a tune-up fight for the next war with Morales.

As a promoter, you always hope to sign a 'blue chip' athlete who will win a world title.
