This is his third year on varsity, and I expect leadership out of him. I don't want him to lead just by scoring the most points. A great player makes his teammates better.

Brian is on his third year on varsity and we want him to be a leader. Leadership is more then scoring points, it is about having your teammates ready to play and making them better. We expect that he can handle that role.

There's no way he's supposed to even catch the ball, dribble it, spin and shoot a shot and make a shot. It's just terrible defense on our part. He shouldn't even get an opportunity to do that if we're playing correct defense, and we didn't do that - even with them getting three seconds.

We have a habit of being lackadaisical, playing up and down.

We're still in the hunt for everything. I feel we can make a run. I feel we will make a run if we play the way we're capable, but it shouldn't be a matter of if.

The third quarter, we had energy and played. But you can't turn the water faucet on and off.

We've gotta put four quarters together. But we've only done that a couple times this year.

We've got to come out here and match their energy. When we played at their place, we didn't do that.

Defensive effort is energy, and all the credit there goes to coach Wright and Lakewood. He has been doing this a long time, and you know you have to match them blow for blow or you're going to lose by 30.
