We remember that we were one point away last year and that's added fuel. This is a whole new season, but we should be a strong team outdoors.

We don't want to lose the outdoor title by a point again.

But we need other people to step up. We need to be in the high 40s to be in contention.

When I was in high school, we had track for five weeks my senior year. That was all for women's sports. So, we've come a long way from having almost nothing.

The NCAA made the general public more aware of women's sports. But we still need more opportunities for women in athletics.

We lost outdoor by a point last year, but scored more points than we were supposed to. The team performed very, very well. It just wasn't enough.

I thought we had a better team effort than we did at North Central (College First Chance Meet). We're starting to do the things that made us a great team indoors.

That puts a different chemistry of athletes in the national championships. You also have a couple of teams that don't do indoor and just compete during outdoor track.

This year was really special. Many times you can have a good team, but they can be difficult. But this year, with 58 women on the team, and to be able to keep everyone moving in the same direction, they've just been a pleasure to work with.
