It's not over. The houses still have to go through a lengthy review process and a normal regulatory review process, including an EIR [Environmental Impact Report] and permits from the city and the natural resource agencies.

Now, of course, people who are involved in Arts & Sciences Council are involved in other organizations. But, it cannot be part of the decision making process.

I don't think there's any debate this is a critical issue to all of the Great Lakes. The debate is what to do about it and how.

Our first child was born in that house in 1975. My wife and I lived upstairs because we'd made it like a little studio apartment, and my parents lived downstairs in the main house.

Growth for the sake of growth in my opinion is not progress.

When you consider the number of passengers on board these ships that run into the millions, cruising has never been safer than it is right now. Sixty percent of our business is cruise business.

The bottom line is that this development is dangerous and unnecessary.

The bottom line is they want to build 2,450 homes outside the city on sensitive lands. All the solar panels in the world don't make that environmentally friendly.
