Raising that kind of money would take up to five years. Developers and landowners don't want to face that kind of risk. The Trust for Public Lands can sometimes rustle up money faster than that, but they would have needed something to get started.

This may be one of those things we write off as a lost cause. It's a shame though, it's perfect for a forest park. It's so close to the Columbia River, and there are some old trees up there.
