I was like, come on do it for New Jersey. I saw her kick and knew she was going to keep it going. I was thinking that would be incredible, having two Shore Conference girls winning Penn Relays titles.

Right when I passed Lauren I didn't know what would happen because I know she's more of a sprinter and has a better kick than most of the milers.

For the mile (1,600) I felt pretty good running the race like that. I was even more nervous for the 800, but I knew if I felt bad after running that mile time then I'd be concerned, but I was more awake and warmed up, so it was good.
