"Dan Wallace" is a former Irish Fianna Fáil politician who served for more than twenty years as Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cork North–Central (Dáil Éireann constituency)/Cork North–Central constituency.

A former customs clerk with the Ford Motor Company in Cork (city)/Cork, Wallace was an unsuccessful candidate at the Irish general election, 1981/1981 and Irish general election, February 1982/February 1982 general elections. He was first elected to the 24th Dáil at the Irish general election, November 1982/November 1982 general election, and was re-elected to Dáil Éireann in every subsequent general election until he retired at that Irish general election, 2007/2007 general election.

He has twice achieved ministerial office, as Minister of State (Ireland)/Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government/Department of the Environment from 1992 to 1993 and again from 1997 to 2002.

In the 29th Dáil, Wallace was Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee until November 2004.

Wallace was Lord Mayor of Cork from 1985 to 1986.
