"Dan Hughes" is an American basketball head coach, most recently of the San Antonio Stars of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Dan Hughes serves occasionally as an analyst for the Southland Conference/Southland Conference Television Network.

Hughes coached the Silver Stars from 2005 to 2009, and rejoined the team in 2011. Prior to the 2013 season, Hughes signed a multiyear contract extension. Edna is going to be sorely missed. Her team leadership is invaluable and it's going to be hard not to have her in the locker room before and after games. Her guidance off the court is also going to be something that will be hard to replace.

I don't know why she is not tossed up there in that group more. There were a lot of questions how she would adjust coming out of Liberty (University), and she has been great. I'm not saying she should be rookie of the year, but she should be a part of the discussion.
