We seem to be headed in the right direction. That was a good ball club we beat. Timely hitting has been a problem, but today we got the hits when we needed them.

I'm real proud of the eighth inning after what they did in the sixth. She mowed them down.

We actually save the school district a little money by playing these games. There are no bus transportation costs and no umpires to pay.

When you're struggling a bit offensively, you try sometimes to generate some offense. Give them credit for making those plays.

We stumbled. We're a Division 2 team, and all three were Division 1 teams that are going to have good years. We do think we can beat those teams, but on Saturday that didn't happen. We're still 1-0 in conference. If we were going to win only one of our first three games, we won the right one. It's still early.

Pitchers are generally ahead of hitters early in the season. She is pretty good at changing speeds but I thought we did a nice job of making adjustments when we needed to.
