Amid all the talks surrounding my being considered for another team's coaching job, I would like to affirm my commitment to the San Miguel organization.
"Vincent "Chot" Reyes" is a retired Filipino basketball head coach, who is known for coaching the Philippines men's national basketball team/Philippine national basketball team and the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. Chot Reyes is a five-time Philippine Basketball Association Coach of the Year Award/PBA Coach of the Year. Reyes also once held a post in the now-defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association in 1998, and was also a coach of the Philippines men's national basketball team/Philippine national basketball team. He is currently the head of Sports5, the sports division of the ABC Development Corporation or TV5 (Philippines)/TV5.
On October 30, 2014, Reyes was removed as the head coach of the Philippine national team after the disbandment of the current roster, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas head Manny V. Pangilinan said that there will be a new national team that will be formed by a pool by Philippine Basketball Association/PBA commissioner Chito Salud.
Reyes announced his retirement from coaching on November 16, 2014 on an interview with talkshow host Boy Abunda.
