I'm hoping the time off before Dallas gives my shoulder a chance to get better. It was important for me to keep racing through the injury because you never know in racing when even just a single point can make a major difference.

Today I was horrible. I've had my head in my behind the whole season. I needed this as a confidence booster. Our whole team worked hard and I have to thank them for being patient.

Daytona has been good to me the last couple of years. With the tight points races every time I turn a wheel on the track it counts in a big way. Daytona can make or break your season. I feel confident going into the race that we can come out on top.

Honestly, I felt confident. Today (in practice) I was horrible, but my team did a good job helping me get ready and it worked out for us.

This one was tough to swallow. I've just got to get back on the pace.

It was a tough track tonight. You really had to be on your game. I figured my line out in the whoops before these guys and I was just sticking to it. Something was telling me it was going to get ugly. At this point, I don't even care about the title. I know if I put myself in good positions like that these next two weekends then a title is possible.

I'm not going to give up. It takes me a few laps to get going, but I've decided I'm going for it. No excuses. I chose to do this and I'm happy to be on the podium again.

We've got a new motorcycle this year and I've felt better on the bike each time I ride it. I know the results will come. We just have to keep working and stay consistent. I always seem to get hot in the second half of the season so I have to at least keep close early on to give myself a chance to win the championship again.

We're just not putting it together. The speed is decent, and the package is there. We've just got to put it together for the weekend.
