It was an absolutely great performance. She's basically playing on one leg out there. One of the unfortunate parts of losing the way we did was that we wasted that effort.
The big difference tonight was we finally made some shots. I don't know if we outplayed them so much as we played at our pace and not theirs. We're just really happy to get a win against a quality team.
I thought we executed our game plan pretty well. With the shots we were able to get, we probably should have scored more points.
It was the first zone that worked against us all year. It's hard to believe those two went 4-for-18 when they were open all night.
I've been really happy with how we've played most of the conference season. We've beat some really good teams this year. Can we make a run here again? I hope so.
We did a hell of a job on her. Those shots she made weren't easy ones, either. They weren't 3-foot turnarounds, they were 10-footers.
They've done it to us in Sioux Falls. It's just hard for us to win at each others' places.
We have to be optimistic. This team has played pretty well lately. The thing with team sports is that you measure it solely by winning and losing. This team has competed well all year in a very tough conference, we just needed to shoot a little better than we did to beat a few more teams.
When we had our chances to win this game, we didn't. When they had their chance, they did. That's what it boiled down to.
