If that were the case, wouldn't you think the younger one would be on the varsity? Look, Marcus is a great kid and a very hard worker with a huge upside. But Jeff he's one of the best high school basketball players I've ever seen.

It has made me sick. Losing stinks worse than anything, man. I'm tired of it.

But like I said, we've got to find a way to finish drives. I don't know if it's attitude or technique that allows you to get it done, but we've got to do it.

Jeff's right. Not finishing off our drives was definitely part of what hurt us Sunday. We'd get stuff going, then we'd commit a turnover or penalty or have another kind of mistake and that would kill it. If we want to get better, we've got to clean that stuff up.

I thought he ran hard. A lot of the stuff that he did was stuff we hadn't even seen in practice. I can't say enough about that guy. He's a great addition to this team.

I'm more surprised than you guys by the score. We may have surprised them a little. That's not a speed thing, obviously; it's all effort.

The rivalry is very much alive. You see a Duke shirt on Franklin Street on a Friday night and they are going to get comments.

Great shooters sometimes miss shots. The good thing about him is he's a sophomore. And even after that first half, he kept confidence in himself.

There were a lot of things going on offensively in that game.

We're not apologizing for printing the cartoon. I do personally to any caller, letter-writer, anybody that comes in. We're not attempting to offend a certain ethnicity, race, or religion. It just so happens in this case that one was offended, and we did know that going in.

I don't think there's a limit to it. The talent at the skill positions is the best there's ever been in the NFL, I think.

Not to take away anything from those other guys. But bringing in a veteran like Trent was huge. Young players watch his work ethic. From Day One, he has taken command and embraced the leadership role on and off the field. A lot of young guys can see than and take a lot from it.

We felt it was important to win the title, especially after last year. It will give us momentum in the second half of the season.

We don't have a singular kind of bias towards anybody -- Muslims, any ethnicity, race, nobody. But most things that we [and most newspapers] do, especially on the editorial page ... are going to offend somebody.

Jeff handles the ball, shoots the ball, passes the ball, defends, rebounds. He's strong. He understands the game. He's fearless. He's a leader. He's a complete player. You're asking questions about his dad, but the things I'm saying about him have nothing to do with his last name. Somebody's gonna get a great college point guard.

What we haven't had here in the past is a quarterback who has some confidence about himself. Somebody that comes in the huddle and takes control, is confident enough in the offense to make O-line calls if he has to. That's what he's brought to the table.
