He came out of nowhere. An adrenaline rush will do it to you. That's all it takes. One good jump and you can relax for the rest of the day.

I wasn't expecting to go to California. I got the call the day before the North-South game. I came home for Christmas and flew out (Dec. 26). Right after the game we flew back that night.

I've never seen a team like that before a game. Usually, everyone's real quiet. We were alive, ready for the game. At halftime, everyone was still pumped.

I wish we could have gotten farther into the playoffs. But we got there, so that was good.

It's just about being in the right place at the right time and reading the quarterback.

Schools were looking at me on both sides of the ball, but it depended on where they needed me, and [Florida] needed me on defense because they have a lot of defensive players that are going to be graduating.

My theory is it doesn't have an effect if you train hard while you're trying to gain weight. If you're just gaining weight you'll come out all stiff.

This still means a heck of a lot to me. I can't just come out here and half do it. I've got [teammates] looking up to me. We have a lot of underclassmen. I'm not acting like I don't want to work too hard because I might get hurt. I still have to give it my all.

I'm relieved. I knew this is where I wanted to be.
