We try to get different teams every year. The goal of the tournament is to put teams together that don't see each other. Geographically, they're all over, so it's pretty exciting.

That was the match everyone was waiting for. I am sure they will see each other again. It was a battle between two great athletes, but tonight Jimmy (Hamel) came out on top.

The kids know we're a little bit of an underdog. But I think there's only two teams capable of beating Franklin in the state, and I think we're one of them. We have to wrestle our best, and try and make some breaks, but we've got a shot.

It was a lot of fun. Those things are important for the coaches and the kids. It's important to do things like that. We're not creating pro athletes here.

It was exciting. It would've been better, of course, coming out of here winning. We put ourselves in position to win by wrestling about as good as we can. I'd say we gave the people their money's worth.

That's really been an enjoyable thing on my part. Those three guys coach with the middle school team. I don't know if the kids know how talented they are, but all three were some of the best in the state. We're very fortunate to have those guys.
