So many times I've heard that the job is part-time. In my mind, nothing could be further from the truth. No longer can a commissioner squeeze it in between other obligations.

I knew all along that when it went to a vote, I wouldn't be able to address the issue anymore. That's one of the disadvantages I have as a county employee. I'm legally bound, and I intend to adhere to that. There are plenty of other issues to talk about.

I'm only the assistant. I can only carry out the decisions of the court. I want a chance to make some of those decisions and put my experience to work. I don't know it all, but I certainly know where to find the answers.
