For (Earl) not to be recognized was, I think, not only a downer for him but for the entire team. The way we were sort of looking at it is now he can go out and he prove (to voters) he belongs.

The puck is his. No one takes that away from him. I think that's one of the things that makes him so hard to play against, that if you do strip it from him, he's coming back at you three times as hard to get that thing back.

He's good at finding guys out of his peripheral vision. Usually he can just get it and fire it, and you're not ready for it because you don't think he sees you. He's got awesome vision.

When you're on the ice, you've got to wear teams down. You just want to beat those guys up so much Friday night that they don't want to come back on the ice Saturday. That's where you get the mental edge.

The thing was just lying there for me to put in.

It's going to be the most people I've ever played in front of, and most of us on the team have played in front of.

I was coming in too fast, but then I kind of gathered myself and stopped, and then got some composure and buried the backhand.
