That's something we wanted to address because you guys said the way to beat us was to run the football. We were able to show people that was not true this year. You guys deserve to write that part of it now.
I'm just keeping it real. I'm just trying to be realistic.
It was important for us to come out and get a win in front of our home fans.
It's big. This time of year, everybody is beat up, everybody is sore. You want to get that adrenaline flowing. Nothing gets that done like a home crowd.
It hasn't come together yet.
A lot of guys showed resiliency. We just came up with big plays. It's kind of like old times, tight game, fourth quarter, two minutes, the defense on the field.
It's early, it's only just after the second week of the season. They probably feel like they're in a must-win situation, so we're going to get their best effort.
They were the hottest team in the league over the last 10 games last year. That's the challenge. They have a lot of explosive weapons.
Any time a team gets the ball with a turnover and comes on your side of the field, it's a chance to be great, ... It's a chance to step up. And we did that. We have a lot of guys with a lot of heart and we kept fighting.
