Brett did a good job pitching for us in the win, but we had a little trouble when he got behind in the count for a couple of innings. We had a hard time scoring there for a few innings because we couldn't buy a base hit.
We played a good game in that one. Brett pitched a good game and helped us out with a good performance on the mound.
Curtis Martin pitched a good game in the loss, but we weren't able to generate any offense behind him to get the win.
We've been practicing for a few weeks, and we're ready to get started playing.
We did not commit a single error in the game. When you can go five innings in high school baseball without committing an error, you improve your chances of winning.

We were down 5-2 in the first couple of innings after the defense committed a few errors. But all the players calmed down and played a great game from the fourth inning on.
