We wrestled pretty well against them. We had to forfeit one weight and won five matches. They are a perennial top five, top eight team in the state and they are very good this year.

He's a tough kid. He gets after it and wrestles smart. He's always in good position, never tries to do things that don't need to be done at the time.

The biggest thing is they match up really well against us. Their best wrestlers are at the same weights as ours and their best are just a little better than ours.

He wrestled well. He was kind of trying to hang on at the end instead of staying aggressive, which I didn't like. Basically he was taking (Miller) down and letting him go, which is risky.

He was losing 2-1 in the third round and got an escape with about 15 seconds left in the match and then took him down. But that didn't matter because we needed a pin to win the match. He got him on his back and pinned him with about four seconds left.

Going 4-1 is a pretty good day. When you wrestle five matches, you're going to be tired. In his last match Wednesday, he beat the No. 3 seed 7-5.
