We don't have any seniors on our team this year so we are very young. But besides being a young team we are focused and ready to compete.

We did everything right today. The kids performed very well. I think we did better than we expected in some events. They were focused, and they came out to win.

I expected all of the team to qualify in something. We had a few mishaps, but we also had a few surprises so it worked out in our favor in district.

We had to pull out of the Texas relays for a number of different reasons. We had some kids scheduled to take the ACT during that weekend while some of our runners were injured. It was just a good time to rest.

The kids understand the art of getting ready for an event. On the way up here the kids were quiet and focused. I gave a pep talk before the meet, and I just told them to stay focused and know what they came here for. Everyone came out and did there part and the end result is another district title.

It feels good to win the title without having to go down to the last race to find out who won. I think everyone likes to put it away early if they could.

Everything went as planned. We wanted to win both relays, and we did. We also wanted to get our kids out in the 100 and the 200 meters and we did that as well.
