The manner of their living is very barbarous, because they do not eat at fixed times, but as often as they please.
"Amerigo Vespucci" was an Italian people/Italian explorer, financier, navigator and cartographer who first demonstrated that Brazil and the West Indies did not represent Asia's eastern outskirts as initially conjectured from Voyages of Christopher Columbus/Columbus' voyages, but instead constituted an entirely separate landmass hitherto unknown to Afro-Eurasians. Colloquially referred to as the New World, this second super continent came to be termed "Americas/America", deriving America (name)/its name from "Americus", the Latin version of Vespucci's given name/first name.Rival explanations have been proposed (see Arciniegas, Germán. Amerigo and the New World: The Life & Times of Amerigo Vespucci. Translated by Harriet de Onís. New York: Octagon Books, 1978.) For example, some have speculated that the name's origin may lie with Richard Amerike [http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/british/tudors/americaname_03.shtml], or with the region Amerrique in Nicaragua. None of these theories has been accepted in mainstream academia.
