That is just the way the game unfolded. When we got behind, we had to play catch-up. That took us out of our rhythm.
I've been doing it for years, ... Still, I always want to be ready. I always make sure I prepare. I try to be patient. I like to think that's why I've been around this game for so long.
The guys we've brought in are classy.
It's been definitely noticeable. Guys are getting along with each other.
We can beat you a lot of ways now. Last year, we didn't have any margin for error. This year, we're a balanced team, and the offense and defense are going to help each other out.
Coaches call that fresh legs. You've got a guy who's anxious, when he hears his number called, he'll be ready to go. He hasn't gotten much of a chance this year, so you know he's hungry. When you've got one guy who's been carrying the load, then you spread it around, guys will be happy around here. It's going to be a great thing.
It felt good to run the ball like that, but when you lose a game like this to one of your division rivals, it hurts. It's back to the drawing board.
As a player, we've got to keep going on because our job depends on winning. Hopefully they'll bring someone in who is in the same frame of mind and can relate to the players. The main thing is it's about winning. If you don't win, these things can happen. Everybody's at fault. We'll see brighter days.
We've got to get some guys in here that love football, veteran guys that love football. All these young heads – we need some guys that just love football.
