It's such a power base, but it's a dormant power base. But I don't care if they're documented or illegal, they are people. And when you want a community to work, you want all of the member of your community to flourish.
One quick way to describe the work we do is it's kind of like a political cartoon. We like humor. It gets people relaxed. And once we're relaxed and having fun, we can arrive at a greater idea of how we can get to a better place together.
There's been a lot of talk about the film it has served as an organizing tool, a kind of reference.
It's been quoted in articles and all that ?this is like A Day Without a Mexican .? That the film was prophetic.
As artists, the pleasure is to really have your work resonate and mean something. Art takes its inspiration from reality.
Once we get into the whole media campaign and the reaction to that, we will be broadening that discussion even further.
