The spectrum of issues that a school board deals with is incredible. I believe the knowledge that I have gained over the last five years on the board is important to continue on.

My top priority is to make sure that decisions we make are based on how they will affect our students. They're the only reason anyone is involved in education.

The board's job is to continually be aware of opportunities, problems, listen to our expert staff, listen to our kids, listen to our community, be aware of what other districts are going through and be willing to change if change is needed. If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten.
