I didn't pull the team through in a couple of games, the first and third games when they needed me most.

More often than not you need personalities in the team to standout and be counted to ensure that we pull off match winning performances.

It feels nice and it is a privilege to don the maroon outfit in such a great milestone game and I hope I can take heart from the experience of such an opportunity and make every game that counts after a meaningful one.

It is obviously challenging conditions but I think we have a fighting total.

I'm not totally happy with our score, we're probably 20-30 runs short but having said that I think we have enough on the board and I think we have the firepower in our bowling attack to get us early wickets and to put them under pressure very early and try and stymie them right to the end.

We just need to take heart from the basic things we did well, bowling in the right areas, restricting the opposition with able fielding and getting a full contribution from the compliment of batters with reasonable partnerships throughout our innings.

I am trying to make sure that I fine tune my main areas, I work on strengths and weaknesses but I won't highlight any here.

We will have to be as efficient as possible in all three disciplines, batting, bowling and fielding.

Once we do that for longer periods and more consistently throughout Test matches we should be a force to be reckon with against a formidable Black Cap team.
