We have a lot of really good players. But it's whoever is hot that night that is going to get the ball.
This game, I think, will help us a lot getting ready for the tournament. Tournament time is what we're getting ready for.
I never thought it would end like this. I just thought we'd be in the finals [tonight]. That's all I was thinking about [Thursday] night. It just didn't happen.
We knew not to take them lightly. They must have been something good to make it here. They weren't backing down.
I think it did [live up to the hype] because everybody said it was going to be close. I guess it was the game everybody was expecting, and we came out on top.
It's going to be real exciting because I wanted to do it the rest of the time I was here, and we didn't do it last year. It feels good to be back this year.
Everybody talked about [last year's game] and we didn't want these seniors to go out like that. They want to see us go to Peoria (site of the state tournament).
I thought about it right before the game, but once the game started it was out of my mind. I was just trying to win. That's what we want to do (win conference), but it's not the No. 1 thing on our minds. Tournament time is what we're getting ready for.
I think it would be a good thing for us to play them again.
