We weren't going to pitch anyone for more than three innings today anyway. The game was designed that way. It wasn't designed to give up five runs though.

All of these guys pitched on a national championship team, and they're returning. They won on the biggest stage there is.

We knew at the beginning of the season that we would be a left-handed dominated bullpen. It comes to a point where you go with your best pitcher, whoever that might be.

He's in the best shape of his life. He's probably going through a little bit of dead-arm.

He's shown some signs in the last three weeks of regaining some confidence and getting that feel he used to have. Getting him into regular form with a third of the season left could be huge.

The second inning was ugly, but other than that I thought we pitched well. From this point on we're trying to cut out the bad innings, that's for sure.
