They got us the last two years there. We'd go through untouched and our first tough game was our last.

When it comes time to play (in the postseason), we have to be ready. We can't wait until the last game to get ready. With this schedule we'll have to be sharp every night or some of these teams are going to take it to us.

It took us a little time to get used to their speed. I think we were intimidated by their speed. We don't see that -- ever.

We know we have a target on our backs. Our schedule will definitely help us. We play three teams that were in the state finals last year - Charlevoix (Class C runner-up), Lansing Christian (Class D champion) and Detroit Country Day (Class B champ). We may not run the table, but we'll be better for it when it counts.

Mallory has height and Townsend has speed. They give us versatility. If we need a big lineup on the floor we go with Mallory. If we need a quick lineup, we go with Townsend.

It's tough to give one up. But so far, so good.

We played tentative. They were so big and so athletic that we were a little shell-shocked early.
