I'll take that win with two home runs any day, because she's a good pitcher and she could've shut us out easily. She had a good rise ball that we were chasing all afternoon.

It was hard for us to get hits because she wasn't going to throw strikes. She threw the ball well and had a lot of movement, and she made us chase the ball. Once we showed patience, she got behind in the count and flattened out some pitches that we were able to hit.

The girls needed to get a run, and they came out in the sixth and bang, bang, bang. I'm impressed.

We had somewhat of a letdown in the second game. They're a good hitting team, and one of the best teams in the nation.

Ruth was so strong for the first three or four innings. Those girls (the Saints) weren't even seeing the ball. She was also a lot more relaxed at the plate and hit the ball very well.
