"Dame (title)/Dame Tessa Jane Jowell" Order of the British Empire/DBE (born 17 September 1947) is a United Kingdom/British Labour Party (UK)/Labour Party politician, who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dulwich and West Norwood (UK Parliament constituency)/Dulwich and West Norwood since United Kingdom general election, 1992/1992. Formerly a member of both the Blair Ministry/Blair and Brown Ministry/Brown Cabinets, she was Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet (United Kingdom)/Shadow Minister for the Olympics and Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet (United Kingdom)/Shadow Minister for London until 11 September 2012, resigning two days after the end of the London 2012 Olympic Games. In November 2013, she announced that she intended to stand down as a constituency MP "after the Next United Kingdom general election/next (2015) election".
