Our goal was to coordinate efforts between other groups and ourselves while giving all of the support that we could.

I still have a mental health professional there, and she indicates there are still dealing with family issues and providing the counseling needed. There will be another mental health professional from another part of the state that will be providing respite to that person, too.

It's our annual fundraiser to help us with disaster relief here locally. The funds will provide direct assistance to those who are involved in disasters instances like a single family house fire or a flood. We need to have donations from the public and this is our way of moving that process along.

One thing we have learned with the Red Cross is it is so much better to be prepared for an event than to just react. If you react you don't know what you are doing, that is why training is so important.
