After about a mile I feel pretty tired, but I'm able to recover after that. I don't really know how I get through that - something inside me just tells me that I can.

My coaches tell me that running cross country will really help me in the 800 that I run in the track season, so that's one of the main reasons I like this race. My goal is to finish higher than seventh at state in the 800, so every bit of pain I feel in this race is worth it if it helps me accomplish that.
