He's been a little under the weather, and he hasn't wrestled his best in the last few matches. We expect him to wrestle better than what he showed tonight. He's got to step it up now and finish strong.

He's all about the team. He said he'd rather compete with the team than as an individual. That's the kind of kid he is. I'm hoping he'll remain healthy and have the kind of season he's capable of.

A lot of people thought we had a chance to get back to the state championship again, but those injuries have hurt. We're taking it a match at a time, and we know Bluffton will be a tremendous challenge.

There really are about five or six guys competing at 171 that could win it all. It's been proven in the past that on any give night one of those top guys could step up and beat the other. In the lower state, there are five solid guys so one good wrestler isn't even going to qualify for state.

We'll be physically prepared. I hope we'll also be mentally prepared.
