"Scott Cherry" is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at High Point University. He replaced Bart Lundy in 2009. Cherry is a native of Ballston Spa, New York.

It's hard. But, as I told our guys, North Carolina doesn't pay the bills, and I have a strong loyalty to these guys that we recruited and coached. These guys have worked their tails off.

It's good, because now everyone knows it's possible. As coaches, you can always motivate that way. Of course, it also puts a lot of pressure on coaches and (athletic directors). They can say, 'We have all the resources they have, why can't we do that?' But it's great for college basketball.

It helps that I'm familiar with a lot of things Carolina does. I don't know if it'll help on the court.
