It's good to have something like this happen early in the season. It shakes you up, wakes you up. Hopefully, we'll reflect on it and respond well to the loss.

If it comes down to just soccer, we feel pretty good about our chances, that we can pretty much play with anybody. But you have unknown factors in a game, be it officials, crowds, other players. Those are things you gotta be smarter about, mature about, and still play within what we say we're going to do.

We are used to having Alec's foot be the last one on the ball before it goes into the net. I think Alec is beginning to understand that he can be as valuable without the ball as he is with it.
