The winning run came home on an error, which was a bummer. Rob did an outstanding job, but our hitters need to start scoring more runs. We need to develop more of a clutch hitting mentality.

The errors really hurt us. We never really got anything going. We didn't get the job done today.

We're defending a league championship for the third straight year. Any time you're doing that, everyone's gunning for you.

Hopefully, as far as picking up where we left off last year, we're hoping to establish our own identity. We're not going to be the same team we were last year. This group of seniors has already stepped up to establish their own leadership.

Our pitchers were pretty efficient today. Both guys probably had their best starts of the season and we were lucky to get some timely hitting to push us over the top.

It's going to be great. I'm looking forward to seeing which one of my former classmates they're going to have volunteering to drive me around.

Rice was around the strike zone all day and he kept us off balance. He definitely didn't do anything to hurt himself.

That kind of stuff happens early in the season. Our defense wasn't very good, but our offense picked it up.

We got turned down by a couple of other high schools who didn't necessarily want us to film a movie that had anything to do with drugs there. We tried to explain it was a satire that was anti-drug, but it was no good.
