Technical astuteness is not necessarily something that's going to give you a big edge. You have to be the team leader, like a head coach. You have the right people at the right places, and I think that's our strongest point.

We're making a lot of progress in our intermediate track program. At Atlanta we had, at worst, a top-five car, but got crashed while running third.

The procedure was 100 percent effective in alleviating the problem, but my doctor advised me to take it easy and spend this weekend relaxing at home.

You didn't see anything you haven't seen the last 10 years here.

I'm not sure how good we would have been without Kurt behind the wheel. We got a little bit behind with the flat tire, and Kurt couldn't talk to us at that point because of a radio problem. But Kurt drove a very hard set of laps. There's really nothing more that needs to be said. It's hard racing at Bristol.

Right now we have to put ourselves in the best finishing position every week.
