If you add up all the pumping capacity of all those stations, we can pump about 2½ billion gallons of water a day. That's about the amount it would take to fill White Rock Lake.

If we get it over a three- or four-hour period, then we are in pretty good shape. The inlets have time to take it, and it drains off well.

Normally, we wouldn't have problems with street flooding until we get 1½ to 2 inches of rain.
